Mark is the Managing Principal of The Chesson Company and serves as the firm’s and its clients’ investment insurance portfolio manager. Mark’s expertise in the proper issuance and strategic funding of life insurance contracts generates high performing tax-advantaged investment results. He serves as an advisor to affluent clients throughout the United States, concentrating on enhanced, tax-advantaged wealth transfer strategies.

Mark earned his BA in Finance from Texas Christian University in 2002. In 2003, he graduated from the BB&T Management Development Program and worked in BB&T’s corporate lending department until joining The Chesson Company in 2007.

As a top life insurance producer, Mark has been a presenter at Partners Financial National Conference and a highlighted guest speaker on the annual Partners Voice: Success Stories. Mark has been recognized as a Financial Services President’s Inner Circle and Concierge Elite Member, and he has served for multiple terms as an Advisory Board Member for ING, a major financial services company. Since 2014, Mark has served as an Advisory Board Member for Nationwide Financial, a Fortune 100 Company.

Active in his community, Mark has held leadership positions at the Boys & Girls Club, United Way, and YoungLife. He served on the CapStone Bank Advisory Board from 2007 until 2014. In 2015, Mark began serving on the Paragon Bank Advisory Board and on the Advisory Board for Duke Raleigh Hospital.

He and his wife Sarah Sims have two children and reside in Raleigh.
